Anushka Sharma was born on May 1, 1988 in Ayodhya located in Uttar Pradesh. Her parents were Kumar Sharma & Ashima Sharma. Anushka Sharma's father is an old colonel. She is also a homemaker. Her elder brother Karnesh Sharma was a member of the Merchant Navy and now is an actor. Anushka graduated from Army School Bangalore. Mount Carmel College Bangalore awarded her with a bachelor of Arts. Anushka is a master of studies in economics. Anushka Sharma was not looking to make it as an actor She wanted to turn into a fashion model or even a writer. Anushka relocated to Mumbai after she completed her degree and began her studies at Elite Model Management, and was groomed by style consultant Prasad Bidapa. Anushka was chosen to be selected by Wendell Rodricks as the final model for his Les Vamps Show, which was held at Lakme Fashion Week in 2017. This movie was well received and became a sleeper. Anushka has completed her 3-film contract together with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
