Kristin Fisher has joined CNN on 20 July 2021, as Space and Defense Correspondent. In that role she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA as well as the new Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence to space tourism. Kristin, the daughter of NASA astronauts and an enthusiastic space lover has spent her entire childhood within the space industry. She served for five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Trump and Biden Administrations. During that time, she also covered impeachment proceedings for President Trump, the 2020 presdiential campaign, as well as two administration's attempts to control the coronavirus pandemic. The former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Kristin worked her way through the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for over a decade before joining the network. Kristin was the recipient of an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as an CBS affiliate's single-man reporter. Kristin used her experience behind the lens to start Field Mouse Films. The company was a specialist in documentary films. It was also a favourite among corporate clients, including Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor in Science in Journalism which she received from Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her entire family, which includes their three-year-old daughter.
